Hello, my friends. This is Lori Larson, your host for the podcast, the year I read the Bible, do you have a desire to learn more about the Bible understand more about your faith and all those Bible stories documented from the believers who came before us? Well, hey, I've got that for you in this podcast. A quick half hour burst of Christian Bible learning and discussion every week. Some research that maybe will teach you something you didn't know or present A new way to think about a concept you're already familiar with. Then a discussion between friends, sharing experiences and insight. I've gotten so many comments from listeners just like yourself, telling me that they heard something about the Bible in a way they'd never thought about it before, or it was just a fun, pleasant, uplifting way to spend a half hour while you're driving or working out. They left the episode feeling happy and spiritual. Take a listen to an example of the type of conversation you have to look forward to. I love the stories of the Old Testament, but especially Esther. She is one of only two books in the Bible that are named after women. The other one obviously being Ruth. So that's intriguing for us as females, uh mm-hmm. In the Kingdom of God, and it's also known as the only book in the Bible where God is not mentioned. Which makes people wonder. So why is it there? There's not a prophetic word spoken, there's not a prayer recorded. But it obviously is an very important book in the canon of scripture. I think one of the reasons that. God is not mentioned is one of the overall overriding points of the book is the sovereignty and providence of God that he is working on our behalf. Even when we don't see it. Even when we don't feel him. Even when we don't hear it, even if we are in the middle of our story. We can be assured that his presence is always with us. And as Romans 8 28 says that, all things work together for the good of those who love him. You see what I mean? That excerpt was from my interview with my friend and Pastor Beth Sprinkle on the episode about Queen Esther, and I bet you learned something new and heard something inspirational, right? And let's face it, is there a better way to spend a half hour of your time per week? Oh, and here's a special offer just for today. If you try the podcast and you don't enjoy it, I will return every dollar you spent to listen to it.
